I began working in the mental health field in 1979. Since that time I have worked at addictions hospitals, have been the director of an adolescent residential program, and have been in private practice for the past 25+ years. I have been adjunct faculty at Rasmussen College, and have taught Couple & Family Therapy courses to graduate learners for Northcentral University. I am also an approved supervisor with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT), helping newly licensed therapists to become more skilled.
A subset of my practice is Personal Coaching. Coaching is not therapy; it is a collaborative, action oriented approach to goal attainment, such as time management, weight loss, achieving dreams, and realization of visions. Coaching is not covered by insurance.
